H.E Raja Dato' Reza Raja Zaib Shah and several officials from the High Commission of Malaysia on 15 November 2022 joined a Tree Planting Activity organised by Petronas Carigali Brunei Ltd (PCBL) in conjunction with PCBL HSE Day 2022. The guest of honour was Honourable Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo Sokiaw, Deputy Minister (Energy), at the Prime Minister's Office.
PCBL's staff led by Mr M Johan Ariff, the Country Head of PCBL, along with the company's senior officials participated in the event. Also joining the activity were students from the Petronas School of Life (PSOL) Programme 2022, as well as several PETRONAS's senior officials from Headquarters who were in Brunei for a working trip led by Mr Morris Mail, the Upstream Head HSE of PETRONAS.
Tree planting is one of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities conducted by PCBL annually. It signifies the company's solidarity with the Bruneian Government in conserving and protecting the environment and at the same time aimed at instilling environmental awareness among the public. For this year's activity, participants planted 500 trees of different species at the Berakas Forest Reserve Recreational Park.
