On 7 July 2023, H.E. Raja Dato’ Reza Raja Zaib Shah received a courtesy call by the delegation from the Department of Education of Labuan led by its Director, Mr Yusup bin Haji Mohamad at the High Commission of Malaysia in Bandar Seri Begawan. The delegation comprised of 15 members were on a 3-day visit to Brunei from 7 to 9 July 2023 with the objective to promote the Labuan International Conference on Educational Research (LICER) 2023, scheduled to be held in October this year.
During the call, H.E. Raja Dato’ Reza apprised the delegation regarding the establishment of the High Commission of Malaysia; overview of Malaysia - Brunei bilateral relations; as well as potential cooperation in the area of education for future collaboration between Brunei and Labuan. H.E. Raja Dato’ Reza also emphasised the significance of the education sector in strengthening people-to-people ties and reiterated the High Commission’s support towards this end.
