On 8 May 2024, His Excellency Raja Dato’ Reza Raja Zaib Shah, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam undertook a visit to Politeknik Brunei (PB) in Bandar Seri Begawan.
During the visit, the Malaysian High Commissioner met with Mr Lim Kian Boon the Acting Director of PB, wherein both sides deliberated the potential areas for future cooperation in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) between PB and higher education institutions in Malaysia. Particular emphasis was placed on international internship programme and mutual accreditation.
With the growing importance of TVET, His Excellency Raja Dato’ Reza invited PB to explore new collaboration in the emerging industries in Malaysia such as artificial intelligence, green technology and renewable energy as a platform to deliver industry-driven quality education and training for aspiring TVET students.
