On 13 January 2022, H.E. Dato' Raja Reza paid a visit to TGT Sdn Bhd, one of the leading companies that deals with the importation, wholesale, and distribution of cold storage products in Brunei. H.E. Dato' Raja Reza was welcomed by the company's Managing Director, Mr Tan Too Liang, a Malaysian.
After a briefing on the company's background, H.E. Dato' Raja Reza and the managing director deliberated on the challenges faced by the company. Mr Tan Too Liang also sought assistance from the High Commission of Malaysia to link TGT Sdn Bhd with Malaysian companies interested in exporting food products to Brunei for future ventures. H.E. Dato' Raja Reza later took a short tour around the company's facilities.
Processed food was one of Malaysia's major exports to Brunei last year, amounting to USD124.8m of the total export. For the record, the total trade between Malaysia and Brunei increased by 64.3% to USD1.7b in January to November 2021.
