High Commissioner Her Excellency Dato' Hayati Ismail attended the Chinese New Year Gala Dinner organised by the Malaysian Association of Canada (MAC) on 26 February 2013 in Toronto, Canada.
Some 450 guests comprising not only Malaysians but also Canadians and guests from other countries who consider themselves "Friends of Malaysia" attended the event, despite the unusual cold and heavy snowfall that evening. Besides the President of MAC and the High Commissioner, the Hon. Senator Tobias C. Enverga from the Senate and Mr. Mitchell Wigdor, Malaysia's Honorary Conusl in Toronto were also at the event.
