After holding the chairmanship of the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO) for four months, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Canada His Excellency Selwyn Das handed over the chairmanship of the ACO to the Ambassador of Vietnam, H.E. Le Sy Vuong Ha in the final ACO meeting of the year held at the High Commission of Malaysia in Ottawa on 4 November 2010. Vietnam will be chairman of the ACO in a holding capacity until January 2011.
