For the very first time, the High Commission proudly hosted a Malaysia Day celebration in Toronto. Around 170 Malaysians, former Malaysians, and Friends of Malaysia came together to celebrate the spirit of our beloved nation.
In her speech, the High Commissioner highlighted that being Malaysian is part and parcel of our identity, and what defines us. She urged Malaysians and former Malaysians to be proud of their heritage and, regardless of the amount of time spent abroad, to always hold Malaysia - their cherished memories and the good part of Malaysia - in their hearts.
She also encouraged Malaysians living or traveling abroad to stay connected by registering with the nearest High Commission or Embassy.
The High Commission extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and celebrated Malaysia Day with us in Toronto. Your presence made it all the more special.
