The High Commission of Malaysia in Ottawa successfully held a Malaysia Golf Day on 5 August 2010 at Edelweiss Golf and Country Club in Wakefield, Quebec. Some 31 golfers made up of members of the diplomatic corp, members of the Malaysia Association of Canada (MAC), businesspersons, government officials and members of the media (please see attached name list) took part in the event.
The golf tournament was played in team format – and the flights were given names after Malaysian states eg. Pahang, Johor and Sarawak to sensitize the players of Malaysia further. The golf event which started at 12 noon ended with dinner and prize giving at the club.
