The High Commission of Malaysia in Ottawa together with the Malaysian Ladies Association in Ottawa held a Malaysia Street Food Bazaar at the High Commission grounds on 12 May 2012. Some eight stalls selling authentic Malaysian food ranging from satay to grilled chicken to nasi lemak were sold at the bazaar. The event which was open to the public drew over 300 people and sold out all the food.
High Commissioner Dato’ Hayati Ismail said that based from the encouraging response, the High Commission will make this an annual event.
