The Malaysia Truly Asia team sponsored by the High Commission of Malaysia, Ottawa and Tourism Malaysia won the second spot in the Foreign Missions' category with total recorded time of two minutes 32.29 seconds at the 2013 Annual Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival.
The 3-day festival which is the largest dragon boat festival in North America was held at Mooney's Bay Park on Riverside Drive in Ottawa on 20-23 June 2013.
The festival attracted excited crowds of over 85,000 spectators who converge in Mooney's Bay over the weekend to take part in the multi-day celebration of the arts, sports, culture and heritage.
Participation of the High commission in the festival enhances Malaysia's image as a truly harmonious multi-cultural society.
