The High Commission of Malaysia, Ottawa together with the Ottawa chapter of the Royal Commonwealth Society held a Malaysia Day on 14 May 2011 at the residence of the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Canada, Her Excellency Dato’ Hayati Ismail. The event attracted some 40 members of the Royal Commonwealth Society. The guests were treated to food demonstrations, traditional ‘joget’ dance performed by Malaysian students and a Malaysian-style buffet. The President of the RCS, Ms Keldine Fitzgerald said it was a privilege to experience such authentic Malaysian culture and cuisine in Ottawa.
