On 11 October 2023, HE Datin Paduka Siti Hajjar Adnin in her capacity as the current Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO), co-hosted a roundtable discussion entitled “Deepening Canada-ASEAN Economic Relations in the context of the ASEAN-Canada Strategic Partnership” with the Canada-ASEAN Initiatives of York University.
The event was attended by more than 90 participants, including members of the diplomatic corps, senior officials of Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and Canadian agencies, business community, think tanks and students. The roundtable discussion was the first public discussion organised by ACO, following the announcement of the ASEAN-Canada Strategic Partnership during the 43rd ASEAN Summit on 6 September 2023 in Jakarta.
