9th Meeting of States Parties to the Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling

The 9MSP is particularly significant in the life of the Convention.  It will be the first meeting in which States Parties’ requests for extensions of Article 5 deadlines will be considered. It will also be the last opportunity for the States Parties to assess progress in achieving the aims of the Nairobi Action Plan in advance of the meeting Convention’s Second Review Conference due to take place in December 2009.
