High-level Segment of the ITU Council

The role of Council is to consider, in the interval between Plenipotentiary Conferences, broad telecommunication policy issues to ensure that the Union's activities, policies and strategies fully respond to today's dynamic, rapidly changing telecommunications environment.  It also prepares a report on the policy and strategic planning of the ITU.

For this upcoming High Level Segment of the ITU, the Councuil will begin its cinsideration of a few critical issues, namely, ÏCTs and Climate Change"and "Cybersecurity".

The Council Session will also formalize the relationship between the ITU and the International Multilateral Partnership Against Cyber Terrorism (IMPACT).
