Meeting of the High Contracting Parties to the Convention of Certain Conventional Weapons (CCW)will

The Meeting of the High Contracting Parties of the CCW in this session will consider the following issues:

1. Plan of Action to promote the universality of the Convention, including the implementation of the CCW Sponsorship Programme;
2. Status of implementation of and compliance with the Convention and its Protocols;
3. Consideration of the report of the work of the Group of Governmental Experts; and
4. Mines Other Than Anti-Personnel Mines.

Pursuant to the Decision of the Third Review Conference on the establishment of a Compliance mechanism applicable to the Convention and its Protocols, and in accordance with the relevant decision of the 2007 Meeting of the States parties, the High Contracting Parties to the convention have to submit, before 1 October of the year, national reports on the implementation of and compliance with the Convention and its Protocols.
