The Embassy hosted a simple reception to commemorate the 54th Anniversary of the National Day of Malaysia at the Santiago Marriott Hotel, one of the well-known hotels in Santiago, on 6th October 2011.
After the playing of the National Anthem of Chile and followed by Negaraku, H.E. Ambassador S.Ganeson delivered his remarks. During the event, tourism videos of Malaysia and Malaysian traditional music were played.
The event was attended by more than 150 guests. Among the attendees were members of the Diplomatic Corps, Chilean government officials, businesspersons, local press, non-government organizations and Malaysians living in Chile
