His Excellency Ambassador S. Ganeson presented his Letters of Credentials to President Sebastian Pinera at the La Moneda Presidential Palace on Monday, 12 September 2011. Accompanying Amb. Ganeson at the presentatiion ceremony was the wife of the ambassador, Mdm. K. Gowri as well as Mr. Westmoreland Palon, Counsellor and Mrs. Sarmiah Haron, Third Secretary of the Embassy. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile, His Excellency Alfredo Moreno Charme, was also present at the ceremony to witness the presentation.
His Excellency Amb. S. Ganeson, who arrived in Chile on 25 August 2011, was appointed as the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Chile to replace Ambassador Abdullah Faiz Zain who ended his tour of duty in September 2009.
Other new ambassadors who also presented their credentials to the Chilean President were the Apostolic Nuncio and the Ambassador of the Russian Federation.
