BATIK WEEK 2021 - ‘REVITALIZING THE MALAYSIAN BATIK INDUSTRY’
Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) in collaboration with Malaysian Batik Association, Yayasan Budi Penyayang Malaysia (PENYAYANG), Federation of Malaysian Fashion Textiles & Apparels (FMFTA), and Kraftangan Malaysia will be organizing BATIK WEEK 2021 with the theme “Revitalising The Malaysian Batik Industry"
The main objectives of the event are:
-To promote the understanding and appreciation of Batik as Malaysia national heritage.
-To discuss how the Malaysian Batik industry can embrace technology in the process of batik making without doing away with the resist element.
-To deliberate on how to make the batik industry eco-friendly.
-To explore how technology can be applied to the processes involved in batik making in keeping with Malaysia IR4.0 initiative.
-To explore the opportunities of investment in diversifying Batik products.
