Changes to the Plan Paso a Paso

From Monday, 19 July 2021, 87 of Chile’s municipalities will advance a step, giving inhabitants greater levels of mobility. Among them are the 52 municipalities of Santiago’s Metropolitan Region, which will advance to the Preparation step (step 3).

Advance to Transition (Step 2) from 5am on July 19

  • Vicuña, Coquimbo Region.
  • Catemu and El Tabo, Valparaíso Region.
  • Pelluhue, Maule Region.
  • Lebu and Florida, Biobío Region.
  • Máfil, Los Ríos Region.

Advance to Preparation (Step 3) from 5am on July 19

  • All the municipalities of Santiago’s Metropolitan Region.
  • Caldera, Atacama Region.
  • Monte Patria and Punitaqui, Coquimbo Region.
  • Villa Alemana, Valparaíso Region.
  • La Estrella, Mostazal, Graneros, Litueche and Pichidegua, O’Higgins Region.
  • Longaví and Chanco, Maule Region.
  • Quillón, Ñuble Region.
  • Laja, Coronel and Los Ángeles, Biobío Region.
  • Lautaro, Traiguén and Perquenco, Araucanía Region.
  • Valdivia, Los Ríos Region.
  • Castro and Calbuco, Los Lagos Region.
  • Chile Chico, Aysén Region.

Advance to Initial Opening (Step 4) from 5am on July 19

  • Coelemu, Trehuaco and Ránquil, Ñuble Region.
  • Chaitén, Los Lagos Region.
  • Natales and Punta Arenas, Magallanes Region.
