On 16 June 2025, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of Malaysia in Chile attended a diplomatic session hosted by H.E. José Miguel Castro Bascuñán, President of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile, held at the Salón de Protocolo in the former National Congress building.
The occasion also served to highlight the growing interparliamentary relations between Malaysia and Chile, marked by the official establishment of the Malaysia–Chile Parliamentary Friendship Group on 30 November 2022.
