Non-resident foreigners
The costs of staying in the transit hotel must be paid by each traveler when obtaining the health passport (website  www.c19.cl )  before taking the transport to Chile .

The costs or gratuity will be according to the following.
If Chilean travelers or resident foreigners began their trip abroad  before 00:00 on March 28, the stay at the temporary hotel will be free.
If national travelers start their trip after the previous date, they must pay the costs of the 5-day stay at the temporary hotel.

* The temporary hotel assigned will be according to the availability of establishments at the time of entry into the country.

How do transit hotels work for travelers?

People must enter the c19.cl page to complete their information for the Health Passport and they will have information about the hotel offer available  in transit hotels for travelers where they can do their preventive quarantine. The information will be available before this new regulation takes effect.

In case the reservation is not made online, the health authority will assign it to a place prior to your arrival at the airport.

The operation of these transit hotels will be through travel agencies authorized by Minsal, who are the logistics operators for people to reserve their room according to the offer available on page c19.cl. People will not be able to make reservations at hotels that are not managed by these agencies. The base price for these five days is from $ 480,000 Chilean pesos. They will also be in charge of the logistics of the transfer from the airport to the hotel.

The reservation is key for non-resident foreigners, since without it they will not be issued a Health Passport.

Regarding Chileans and resident foreigners, if the people traveled before Sunday, March 28, they must attach on page c19.cl  the proof of departure from the country with a date and with this the travel agency will designate a hotel at no cost. In any case, these people have the option of reserving another hotel other than the designated one, but they must pay all the costs of this.

All those who left the country from Sunday 28 onwards must make the reservation online and can pay both online through a link that is on the Minsal page and also at the airport to present your receipt at the Sanitary Customs.
