Malaysians Residing in Chile and Ecuador,
FOREIGN POSTAL VOTE APPLICATION CATEGORY 1B FOR THE 16TH GENERAL ELECTION (GE) OF THE SABAH STATE COUNCIL (DUN)
The Election Commission of Malaysia (EC) sets 26 September (Saturday) as the Voting Day for the General Election (EC) of the 16th Sabah State Assembly (DUN), and extends the voting facility to Malaysians abroad for this purpose. The postal voting application period has been gazetted from 17 August - 3 September 2020.
Application for postal votes is Form 1B (Overseas Voters) which can be downloaded at the EC website www.spr.gov.my during the above period . Applicants for this category are subjected to the following conditions:-
3.1 Is a registered Voter;
3.2 Residing abroad except in Southern Thailand (Narathiwat, Pattani, Yala, Songkhla and Satun, Singapore, Bruei and Kalimantan, Indonesia; and
3.3 Has been in or returned to Malaysia not less than 30 days in a period of 5 years before the dissolution of the 15th Sabah DUN on 31 July 2020.
