The Embassy of Malaysia in Santiago and Tourism Malaysia Los Angeles Office held a virtual meeting to discuss potential collaborations and business opportunities in the tourism sector between Malaysia and Chile, as well as Ecuador and the Latin America region. The meeting was attended by representatives from both parties and was led by HE. Abu Bakar Mamat, Ambassador at the Embassy of Malaysia in Santiago. During the meeting, HE. Ambassador Abu Bakar, expressed interest in obtaining recent statistics on tourism between Malaysia and the Latin American region, and inquired about programs and initiatives aimed at attracting tourists and green investment in sustainable tourism. He also requested a meeting with the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Chile to discuss potential collaborations further. The meeting was a productive step towards exploring business opportunities in the tourism sector and promoting sustainable tourism investment in Malaysia.
