Meeting with Mr. Carlos Gajardo Roberts, Manager of International Affairs and Environmental Issues of SONAMI

Meeting with the Manager and Director of Sociedad Nacional De Mineria (SONAMI).  SONAMI is the largest Mining Association in Chile by virtue of having more than 2500 members.  There is another association named as Consenjo Minero. The main reason for the meeting is to seek collaboration and cooperation between any interested Malaysian companies wanting to venture into the mining sector in Chile such as copper, gold, and non minerals such as nitrates and salt. The mining sector provides about 15% of GNP of Chile. Mining in Chile provides 60% of the total export of Chile. The meeting held this evening at the Embassy of Malaysia in Santiago (Tuesday, 27/1/2016) was with Mr Carlos Gajardo Roberts, Gerente Asuntos Internacionales Y Medio Ambiente (Manager of International Affairs and Environmental Issues of SONAMI).
