New measures that will take effect from Wednesday, March 31 at 05:00 am

For travelers from any country of origin

♦ All travelers must comply with a mandatory 10-day quarantine, without the possibility of exempting themselves.
♦ The first 5 days must be transferred to a temporary hotel and perform a PCR test.
♦ The costs or gratuity will be according to the following:
- If national travelers began their trip abroad before March 27, the stay in the temporary hotel will be free.
- If national travelers begin their trip abroad after March 27, they must pay the costs of the 5 days of stay in the temporary hotel.
♦ The remaining days of quarantine can be done at your home or where you deem appropriate if the PCR test is negative.
♦ In the case of being positive, you must quarantine in a residence which will have no cost.

Measurements from Thursday, March 25 at 05:00 am. and until Wednesday, March 31

For travelers from any place of origin

♦All travelers must comply with a mandatory 10-day quarantine, without the possibility of exempting themselves.
♦All travelers who test positive within the first 14 days of entering the country must carry out their isolation for 11 days in sanitary residences.
♦Any traveler who, upon entering the country, presents one or two symptoms related to the disease, must go to a Sanitary Residence until it is ruled out.

For travelers from Brazil or who have been in that country in the last 14 days

♦They must be transferred to a Transit Hotel, where they will stay for at least 72 hours, regardless of whether they already have a negative PCR result.
♦You will be able to leave this place after 72 hours of stay and with a negative PCR result to complete your mandatory 10-day quarantine at your home or destination.
♦Regarding the previous point, you must complete a 10-day quarantine without the possibility of exempting yourself (not even with negative PCR)
♦All costs associated with their entry must be paid by the traveler himself when requesting his international health passport before taking his plane to Chile.

 The quarantine:

♦The journey to the quarantine place must be direct, without interacting with other people and always with a mask.
♦The isolation must be individual or with the same group with which you have traveled.
♦You cannot share with other people who live in the same home or have visitors.
♦You must be alert in case of symptoms and comply with the traveler follow-up for 14 days.

(Update 03/08/21) As of Thursday, March 11 at 05:00 am, all passengers who have been in Brazil for the last 14 days will be transferred to health residences for a PCR test. If the test is positive, the person must perform his isolation in that place. If negative, the passenger will have to finish their 10-day quarantine period at their destination.

At 00:00 hours on November 23, 2020, Chile opened its borders to non-resident foreigners, only through the Santiago Airport, Arturo Merino Benítez. From 00:00 hours on Thursday, December 31, 2020, to a period to be determined, all who enter the country must carry out a mandatory 10-day quarantine (regardless of their nationality).

Foreigners and non-resident foreigners entering Chile must:

♦ Fulfill provisions of immigration authority and have the corresponding tourist visas or residence visas, as the case may be.
♦ Present negative PCR test took up to 72 hours before boarding the last flight.
♦ Complete health passport upon admission and follow-up form for 14 days.
♦ Present health insurance that covers benefits associated with Covid-19 during your stay.
♦ Know and respect the Chilean health regulations, such as the mandatory use of a mask, among others.
♦ (Update 12/29/20) Mandatory 10-day quarantine (requirement from December 31, 2020). To shorten the quarantine, a PCR can be performed from the 7th day and must continue in quarantine until the result is obtained, which must be negative to conclude with it.
♦ UNITED KINGDOM: From 00:00 hrs. From December 22, there is an entry ban for Foreigners who have been to the United Kingdom in the last 14 days.

Chilean or foreign residents who return to Chile:

♦ (Update 04/01/2021) From Thursday, January 7, ALL Chileans and foreigners residing in Chile who enter the country must have a negative PCR test carried out up to 72 hours before boarding the last flight
♦ (Update 07/01/2021) From Friday, January 8, if they enter the country without the negative PCR test, they risk complying with the mandatory quarantine in a Sanitary Residence and a fine of 58 UTM
♦ Complete health passport upon admission. 
♦ Follow-up form for 14 days after entering the country. 
♦ (Update 12/29/20) Mandatory 10-day quarantine (requirement from December 31, 2020). To shorten the quarantine, a PCR can be performed from the 7th day and must continue in quarantine until the result is obtained, which must be negative to conclude with it.
♦ UNITED KINGDOM: From 00:00 hrs. From December 22, there is an entry ban for Foreigners who have been to the United Kingdom in the last 14 days. 

*Children under two years of age are not required to have a PCR test.
