From December 10th, the Santiago Metropolitan Region moves back to phase 2. Domestic flights from and to Santiago (across Chile) will be allowed only for: returning home, medical appointments, funerales and accredited work reasons. International flights will have no impact and will operate under the current sanitary control; the borders remain open for nationals, residents and tourists.
Common measures activities during Paso a Paso:
Self-care measures: mandatory use of a mask, distance of at least one meter between people, permanent hand hygiene, preference for activities in open places (outdoors), avoid closed and crowded places, and permanently ventilate closed places.
Step by Step Plan: The “Step by Step we take care of ourselves” Plan is applied, in which each commune is in a Step defined by its epidemiological situation, and each Step implies restrictions and operating conditions for certain specific activities.
Displacements within the country: transfers between regions are allowed for those people who are in a commune in step 3, 4 or 5, and their destination commune is also in step 3, 4 or 5. All travel between regions requires the Obtaining a Sanitary Passport, which is requested for review at the Sanitary Customs. This applies as long as there is no sanitary cordon.
Curfew: holding and / or participating in social events or gatherings during these hours is prohibited.
The State of Catastrophe extends for a period of 90 days, that is, from December 13 to March 13.
