Sipadan Island
Located 700 meters above sea level, Malaysia’s smallest island is only 12 hectares in size. An attraction to many deep-sea creatures, visitors can easily walk around this island in 25 minutes. Surrounded by pristine, crystal clear turquoise waters, it is home to an abundance of exotic marine life.
Redang Island
Located 45 kilometers the coast of Kuala Terengganu, Redang Island is the largest of the nine protected islands in the South China Sea. As one of the islands in the Redang Island Marine Park, the waters here are teeming with an abundance of sea life and crystal clear waters offering many first class dive sites for your enjoyment. When the afternoon sun catches the water at just the right angle, breathtaking coral reefs, sea anemones and fish can be seen.
Perhentian Island
Perhentian Island is a must see. Located 21 kilometers from shores of Terengganu, it comprises of Pulau Perhentian Besar (Big Perhentian Island) and Perhentian Kecil Island (Small Perhentian Island). Surrounded by virgin jungle, swaying palm trees, white sandy beaches and warm Prussian blue waters, Perhentian Island is a protected area for fishermen, migratory birds and, of course, those who appreciate beauty.
Tioman Island
56 kilometers off the coast of Pahang lies Tioman Island, a holiday paradise nestled in the South China Sea. Known as one of the best holiday destinations in the world, Tioman Island was the production location for the 1959 Hollywood musical, 'South Pacific'.
Legend has it that the island is the resting place of a beautiful mythical dragon princess. The calm and clear waters make Tioman Island every divers dream paradise.
Mabul Island
Mabul Island is said to be one of the best locations in the world for underwater photography. Situated off mainland Sabah in the immaculate waters of the Celebes Sea, Mabul Island is surrounded by a reef of soft coral at a depth of 40 meters.
With a total land area of 21 hectares, it is considered larger than neighbouring Sipadan Island and home to the Bajau Laut tribe, one of the ethnic groups in Sabah.
