People arriving in Chile for international flights
For foreign or Chilean people arriving in the country on international flights:
From Thursday, January 7, all people (Chilean and resident foreigners) who enter Chile must meet the following requirements:
- Negative PCR test taken 72 hours before boarding.
- Quarantine for 10 days.
- Quarantine and carry out a PCR test on the 7th day and quarantine until the result is delivered. If it is negative, you can shorten your quarantine.
They must also:
- Complete health passport can be obtained in www.c19.cl .
- Complete the follow-up form within 14 days of entering the country.
- Only for foreigners entering the country: they must have health insurance, contracted in their country of origin and that provides coverage for international medical care in the case of contracting COVID-19 in our country. This insurance must have a minimum coverage of USD $ 30,000.
All these documents must be presented before boarding the flight to Chile
If the passenger is domiciled in another region outside the Metropolitan Region, he can quarantine in the respective region and must travel to it in less than 24 hours from his arrival in the country in public or private means of transport, following the appropriate measures prevention.
UK travel suspension:
Due to the current epidemiological situation in the United Kingdom, the Government of Chile determined:
- The suspension of all direct flights between the UK and Chile.
- The entry ban of all non-resident aliens on a regular basis who have been in the UK in the last 14 days.
- The obligation to all Chileans and resident foreigners who enter the country on a regular basis, and who have been in the United Kingdom during the last 14 days, to carry out a mandatory 14-day quarantine in Chile.
For people who want to travel abroad:
You must inform yourself about the sanitary measures and the entry restrictions of the country to which you want to travel, so we recommend that you consult their official sites and with the airline of your flight.
For transfers to the Santiago Airport, you can use your airfare as a safe conduct and take the international flight without additional documentation.

Holidays in Chile
Transfers between regions are allowed for people who are in a commune in step 3, 4 or 5, and the destination commune is also in step 3, 4 or 5. You can go through areas that are in Quarantine, but You cannot get off the means of transport unless transshipments are made and it is strictly forbidden to spend the night in these areas that are in Quarantine.

All travel between regions requires obtaining a Sanitary Passport that is obtained at www.c19.cl , which is requested for review at the Sanitary Customs.
From abroad, the only point of entry into the country is the Arturo Merino Benítez airport. The conditions for people (Chileans and resident foreigners) who enter the country from January 7, are: have a negative PCR test taken 72 hours before traveling and mandatory quarantine. The land border crossings remain closed.

Operation of services and restricted activities
Certain activities and services are restricted by the Health Authority to reduce the risks of contagion. The most important ones in the summer vacation season are:
- Pubs, discos and the like: their operation is prohibited in communes in Paso 1,2,3 and 4.
- Attention to the public in restaurants and cafes: prohibited in Quarantine communes (step 1). In Transition (step 2) it is only allowed on the terrace or open spaces, with 2m. linear between tables. In Preparation (step 3) the attention of the public is also allowed indoors with only 25% capacity and permanent natural ventilation. In Initial Opening (step 4) it will be possible to serve the public with a maximum of 50% capacity and in Advanced Opening with 75% of capacity.
Self-care measures
The mandatory measures are:
- Respect the curfew: between 10 pm and 5 am. It is forbidden to carry out and participate in social events and activities during these hours.
- Use of mask: mandatory in closed and open urban places, public and private transport.
- Physical distancing: maintain at least one linear meter between people. Avoid closed and crowded places.
- Sanitary customs control: Sanitary control points, generally in areas of change of region, where it is checked that those who travel have a valid Sanitary Passport.
- Frequent hand washing.
- Permanently ventilate closed places.

Sanitary Inspection
- It will be audited according to the restrictions defined in the Plan "Step by Step we take care of ourselves", and it will be reinforced especially in places where agglomerations occur, such as swimming pools, beaches, campsites, among others.
- There will be Sanitary Customs installed in bus terminals, highways and airports, for the control of Sanitary Passport, health conditions and compliance with travel restrictions.
- For all cases, non-compliance with sanitary measures will be sanctioned by article 318 of the Penal Code.
