In May, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of Malaysia in Chile undertook a working visit to Rapa Nui (Easter Island) to strengthen bilateral and community engagement.
During the visit, he met with Provincial Delegate Ms. Elizabeth Arévalo Pakarati and senior officials from the Municipalidad to discuss potential cooperation in areas such as tourism, urban planning, and environmental management.
He also held a meeting with Mr. Ariki Tepano Martin, President of the Ma’u Henua community, to exchange views on heritage protection and the management of Rapa Nui National Park. Additionally, the Chargé d’Affaires engaged with the local Muslim community, represented by Haji Saif, and connected with MTCP alumni currently residing in Rapa Nui.
