The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia (MOTAC) has announced guidelines for stranded MM2H members to re-enter Malaysia. These guidelines are in accordance with the requirements set by the Department of Immigration of Malaysia (JIM) and the National Security Council of Malaysia (MKN) in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The steps are:

1. You need to provide your particulars (name/nationality/passport number/country stranded at/contact number/ email address) at the following link:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdGmqIolPh06TQP-sMy3zMOr7lj0hhPmyxfiNsB8Wo_mB8Fsg/viewform

Your name and details will then be registered with MOTAC and shared with JIM.

2. You need to apply for approval to re-enter Malaysia from the Director-General of JIM via email at kpi@imi.gov.my and CCed to naeem.azmi@imi.gov.my. Without this approval, you will be denied entry into Malaysia.

3. You are required to undergo a Covid-19 test at your country/location. You are required to provide the negative Covid-19 test result to the authorities at the Malaysian entry point, or you will be denied entry into Malaysia. The date of your test result must be within 14 days of your arrival in Malaysia.

4. MM2H members who enter Malaysia will be quarantined for 14 days at an assigned quarantine location. You may not choose the quarantine location. You must prepare a letter of undertaking agreeing to bear the cost of the 14 days of accommodation for the quarantine. The estimated cost is RM2,100 (subject to review) per person.

5. Please download the Letter of Undertaking here: https://www.kln.gov.my/documents/8390448/8392184/Doc+D_Flowchart+BI_2/ac9c75b3-4924-4d0c-b7c9-e7c90c75b343 (English)

6. After you have completed the Letter of Undertaking, email it, together with a copy of your passport and long term social visit pass to mwhongkong@kln.gov.my, and we will prepare an approval letter for you.
