Thank you for your service to Malaysia-Hong Kong and Malaysia-Macao ties, as well as towards Malaysian interests in the two SARs. The Consulate-General team, represented by Deputy CG Lai Kee Hee presented CG Yap with a memento, fondly calligraphed with the CG’s work motto in Hong Kong - “唔使急，但要快” (Do not rush, but be quick).
The Consulate-General wishes you and your family the very best in your future endeavours. Quoting CG Yap during his remarks at the “Merdeka Nite 2022” celebrations on 26 August:
“Gunung Kinabalu tinggi di awan,
Nampak dari atas perigi;
Berat hati hendak ku tinggalkan,
Ada peluang berjumpa lagi.”
CG Yap’s next tour of duty will take him and his family to Pretoria, South Africa.
