Updated Notice to Malaysians in Hong Kong / Malaysians Travelling to Hong Kong

The Consulate-General of Malaysia in Hong Kong advises Malaysians in Hong Kong that multiple districts in Hong Kong may be subject to disruptions caused by demonstrations and protests. These disruptions may take place with little or no notice.

 

Malaysians in Hong Kong are advised to avoid public demonstrations and protest areas. You are advised to exercise increased caution, be aware of your surroundings, not wear black or white in public, and keep a low profile. You are advised to monitor developments on local news and comply with the relevant announcements by the local authorities, especially the Hong Kong Police Force.

 

For Malaysians planning to travel to Hong Kong in the immediate or near future, you may wish to consider an option to reschedule your travel itinerary to a more conducive time in the future. If you intend to continue with your travel plans to Hong Kong, please comply with this notice and plan your movement beforehand so as to avoid any possible disruptions to your journey.
