Thursday, 2 June 2022 - Dr. SV Lo, Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Genome Institute and his team received a working visit from the Consul-General of Malaysia Yap Wei Sin, CG of Kazakhstan Mr. Rashid Yerishev, and CG of Türkiye Mr. Ahmet Peyami Kalyoncu, who were there to learn more about, and explore potential bilateral cooperation with HKGI.
In Malaysia, the Malaysia Genome Institute was established under the National Institute of Biotechnology Malaysia, which is an agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. MGI is engaged in discovery research through genome sequencing, comparative genomics, and molecular biology, including its applications in vaccine production.
