CITIZENSHIP APPLICATION UNDER ARTICLES 15(2) OF THE FEDERAL CONSTITUTION

This is an application for Malaysian citizenship whose the mother is a Malaysian citizen and the father is a non-citizen:

1. Child age below one (1) year old application:

• Borang B – Borang Permohonan Kewarganegaraan (Citizenship application form);

• Lampiran A.15(2)

• Lampiran A-WN

• Supporting documents –

     o MyKad Malaysia / ID both applicants;

     o Passport both applicants;

   o Birth Certificates for both applicants – for foreign documents please translate and attested by Foreign Affairs Office (FAO) of the country or province of issued);

     o The original child birth certificate issued by hospital;

   o Translation of the child birth certificates and attested by the Foreign Affairs Office (FAO) of the country or province of issued;

     o Marriage certificates and translation (if applicable);

     o Three (3) copies of passport sized photo with blue background;

     o Fee is RMB44.00

2. Child / Individual age above one (1) year old citizenship application is not acceptable at the Consulate General of Malaysia in Shanghai. Applicants are required to present at the National Registration Department in Malaysia for the citizenship application.
