i) Without visa :
Permits citizens of certain countries to travel without a visa for a certain period.
ii) Visa Without Reference (VTR) :
Visa without reference is approved by the Embassy for social, tourist or business visits ONLY.
iii) Visa With Reference (VDR) :
Visa with reference is approved by the Immigration Department of Malaysia or the Ministry of Home Affairs for the purpose of working, studying or social visits for a stay more than the allowed period under Visa Without Reference.
b) Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC)
- Kindly be reminded that ALL foreign tourists will be required to complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC), which can be access at https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main within 3 days prior arrival to Malaysia.
- Travelers are required to present a valid passport and a completed MDAC to border officers for validation BEFORE proceeding through the immigration counter.
c) Visa Exemption for a period of 30 days for Chinese and Indian Citizens
Kindly be informed that effectively from 1st December 2023, Chinese and Indian Citizens will enjoy visa-free entry to Malaysia up to 30 days. The afforesaid free visa facilities will be valid until 31st December 2026.
