The Embassy’s deep interest to develop good relations with the media in Algeria was again reflected during the visit of H.E. Dr Hasrul Sani Mujtabar, Ambassador of Malaysia to Algeria, to El Moudjahid newspaper Headquarters situated in the Algiers seafront on 10 April 2012. Ranked as one of the top ten newspapers in Algeria in terms of circulation, El Moudjahid was first established as an FLN guerilla information bulletin during the 1954-1962 Algerian war against the French.
The Ambassador and the Embassy officials accompanying him, were given briefings with regard to the organization. The CEO of El Moudjahid, Mdm. Naama Abbas and Mr. Achour Cheurfi, Editor-in-Chief, were also present during the briefings. Its worth to note that in the year 2010, Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper, visited Malaysia including, Sabah, through the initiative of the Embassy.

VISITE AU SIEGE DU QUOTIEN EL MOUDJAHID
L’Ambassade a un intérêt profond pour le développement des bonnes relations avec les medias en Algérie, ce fut encore une fois reflété par la visite de SEM Dr. Hasrul Sani Mujtabar, Ambassadeur de Malaisie en Algérie, au siège du quotidien El Moudjahid, situé en front de mer, le 10 Avril 2012. El Moudjahid été créé dans le but de servir de bulletin d’information au combattants du FLN pendant la guerre d’Algérie contre la France entre 1954 et 1962.
L’Ambassadeur et des membres de l’Ambassade ont eu un briefing sur cet organisme. Mme Naama Abbas, et Mr. Achour Cheurfi, éditeur en chef du quotidien a aussi pris part aux briefings. A noter qu’en 2010, l’éditeur en chef du quotidien a visité la Malaisie, notamment l’Etat de Sabah, à l’initiative de l’Ambassade.
