An interagency meeting on 27 November 2009 to discuss projects and programmes to be undertaken by Mission and other Malaysian agencies involved in 2010. The meeting was chaired by Malaysia’s Ambassador to Spain, Dato’ Naimun Ashakli Mohammad. The agencies present were MIDA and Tourism Malaysia, both represented by Pn. Balkish Mohd. Yasin, Investment Counsellor and En. Jeffri Munir, Director of Tourism respectively. Other agencies involved could not make it for the meeting due to other commitments and unforeseen circumstances.
Among others, the meeting had agreed for several activities to be taken by Mission together with the agencies involved. These would include Malaysia’s participation in the annual International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR) and the round table discussion on trade and investment opportunities in Malaysia, talks on Malaysia at several local universities as well as film weeks with cooperation of CASA Asia with the business communities in Madrid, Northern Spain and the Canarias.
