H.E. Ambassador Haznah Md Hashim officially launched the Malaysian Pavilion at FITUR 2026, marking a strong start to Malaysia’s tourism promotion efforts in Spain this year.

The Pavilion is jointly organised by Tourism Malaysia Paris and the Embassy of Malaysia in Madrid, featuring a series of targeted tourism promotional programmes aligned with the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VMY2026) campaign. These initiatives aim to significantly enhance Malaysia’s visibility in the Spanish market and to double the number of Spanish tourist arrivals to Malaysia in 2026.

Spain remains an important and growing source market for Malaysian tourism. In 2025, more than 80,000 Spanish travellers visited Malaysia, drawn by the country’s rich cultural diversity, vibrant modern cities, world-class diving destinations, pristine natural landscapes, and outstanding gastronomy.

Through FITUR 2026, Malaysia reaffirms its commitment to deepening tourism cooperation with Spain and invites Spanish travellers to rediscover Malaysia as a safe, welcoming, and exciting destination offering unique experiences for every type of traveller.

Nos vemos en Malasia.
