Helsinki, 9 July 2016 – After a month of fasting for about 20 hours a day during Ramadhan, the Muslims in Finland observed the arrival of Syawal 1437 with the celebration of Aidilfitri. HE Dato’ Blanche Olbery, Ambassador of Malaysia to Finland hosted the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at the Rumah Malaysia, Finland with attendance of more than seventy Malaysians, Friends of Malaysia and neighbours living here. Officers and staff at the Embassy prepared the food, among others, Chicken Curry and Roti Jala, Rendang Daging, Ayam Masak Merah, Ayam Percik, Ketupat Palas, Lemang and Kuah Kacang, the traditional food often found in Malaysian homes during the festival. It was an event that brought friends and families together in the spirit of harmony and friendship.

The Embassy also bade farewell to Puan Maimunah Abdullah, Personal Assistant to the Ambassador as she has concluded her tour of duty in Finland. Puan Maimunah will be returning to Wisma Putra in Putrajaya. |
