ASEAN Day – Flag Hoisting Ceremony
Helsinki, 8 August 2014 - In commemorating the ASEAN Day, the Embassy of Vietnam in Helsinki as the Chairman of ASEAN Helsinki Committee (AHC) hosted the Flag Hoisting Ceremony on 8 August 2014. The ceremony was held at the compound of the Indonesian Embassy, Kuusisaarentie 3, 00340 Helsinki.
2. During the ceremony H.E. Mr. Bui Van Khoa, Ambassador of Vietnam begins with a Welcoming Remarks to commemorate the 47th Anniversary of the establishment of ASEAN.
3. The flag hoisting was done by the children from ASEAN countries and followed by ASEAN anthem. Each ASEAN countries contribute two (2) traditional food and soft drinks.
The ceremony was attended by ASEAN Ambassadors: H.E. Mr. Elias Ginting, H.E. Puan Sri Blanche Olbery, H.E. Mr. Bui Van Khoa, and H.E. Mr. Rachanant Thananant and spouses, H.E. Dr. Chang Donghee: Korean Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Kenji Shinoda: Japanese Ambassadors, Ms. Tiina Myllyntausta: Chief of Protocol, Representative of ASEAN Dialogue Partners and ASEAN-Finland Trade Association, Representative from European Union and ASEAN Diplomatic Corps.
4. The ceremony ends with a photo session and followed by a reception.
