Helsinki, 1 October 2016 - Members of ASEAN Embassies in Helsinki and their families got together on Saturday, 1 October 2016 for an ASEAN Family Day at the Laajasalo sports park in Helsinki. This is the second time that the event since last year where it was held at the Chancery of the Indonesian Embassy. In her capacity as the Chair of ASEAN Helsinki Committee (AHC), Malaysia hosted the event this year.
The day included traditional games and food from each of the represented ASEAN countries. The informal event was an opportunity to reinforce the friendship and solidarity among the ASEAN community in Helsinki. The ASEAN countries with resident missions in Helsinki include Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
