Monday, 6 June 2016 - HE Dato’ Blanche Olbery, Ambassador of Malaysia to Finland paid a courtesy call on Dr. Päivi Sillanauke, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health of Finland on Monday, 6 June 2016. The 45-minute meeting, started at 1045 hrs, was at the request of the Malaysian side and took place at the Ministry building. Also present at the meeting was Ms. Anni Kaukoranta, Senior Officer, International Affairs Unit, Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, and also Mr. Devrin Jeck, Counsellor, Embassy of Malaysia, Finland.
The discussion focussed on the possible bilateral cooperation between Finland and Malaysia under the health industry following Dr. Sillanauke's visit to Malaysia on 28 February - 1 March 2016. Among others, possible pilot studies with Malaysian hospitals with Genano, Medante and Ecosir in areas of air purification, antimicrobial workwear and textiles and sanitary cycle washing machines and waste disposal. Both sides also discussed new ways to care for the elderly.
HE Dato' Ambassador also suggested for an exchange of high-level visits between the two countries.
