The European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Preceptorship on Lung Cancer held in Helsinki from May 22-23, 2024, was an intensive educational event aimed at oncologists. The program focused on current best practices in managing lung cancer, covering various stages from diagnosis to advanced treatment. Participants included selected ESMO members who were chosen based on their professional backgrounds and clinical case presentations. The event featured lectures and interactive sessions led by international experts, emphasizing a multidisciplinary approach and the latest advancements in lung cancer research and treatment strategies. Attendees had the opportunity to learn from leading experts, engage in case-based discussions, as well as network with peers from different regions.
Among the participants and professional presenters were fellow Malaysian Dr Mohamed Amin Bin Dr Mohamed Ali. At the session, Dr Amin took to the floor to present his case study with professionals in his field as well as later then made a courtesy call to the Malaysian Embassy in Helsinki, Finland to share about his experience in his respective area of work as well as his experience being in Finland.
