The Malaysian Embassy Helsinki had the pleasure to host Mr Jason Pok, Malaysian CEO of Attarat Power Company, largest private project in Jordan that provides electricity using indigenous oil shale and reduction of reliance on imported natural gas. We had the opportunity to discuss about the company's direction in Jordan as well as his ongoing business projects and meetings that has brought him to Finland and Estonia in addition to the ongoing opportunities and challenges in the field of energy in this day and age.
Together in the mix we had the pleasure of having Mr Alan Toh, a fellow Malaysian as well as Project Manager for an Austrian company (Andritz Oy) based in Finland that is in the pulp and paper industry and shared his valuable insights about the energy sector here as well as Malaysia given his vast experience in the energy sector.
Overall we had a lively discussion on a myriad of subjects ranging from the idea of utilisation of power boilers, delving further with regards to Finnish energy as well as shared common stories back in Malaysia. Good balance of work and lively discussion to begin the week ahead.
Always great to see the Malaysia Boleh spirit alive in our fellow Malaysians abroad and good to know that we have & continue to make an impact to make in the energy sector in different parts of the world as well as back in Malaysia.
