Food for thought for future cooperation possibilities between the Malaysian and Finnish education sectors.
The Embassy of Malaysia attended the Education Finland Forum, which brought together diverse education sector stakeholders, high-level decision-makers, and foreign embassy representatives based in Finland.
In their opening speeches, Anna-Maja Henriksson, Minister of Education and Ville Tavio, Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade shed light on the Finnish Government's policies on education, the export of education and approaches to addressing the global education crisis with initiatives such as the school meals coalition network.
The event highlighted the role of different actors in the sphere of trade, foreign policy, higher education and private sector edtech companies engaged in the internationalisation of the Finnish education sector. Workshop sessions gave an opportunity to delve into current challenges and opportunities in the areas of i) internationalisation of higher education institutions, ii) professional development of teachers, iii) Finnish Edtech companies, iv) leading companies' consortiums and capacity building, and v) Finland as a study destination.
Thank you and Congratulations Education Finland for a well-organised and enlightening event
