Smart Forestry engagement between Sarawak and Finland. Both Sarawak and Finland have a high coverage of forest (the former 62%, and the latter 75%). This gives ground to much potential for collaboration in knowledge sharing, research and business opportunities between the Nordic and tropical forest conditions.
The Forest Department Sarawak (FDS) is currently in Finland on a study visit to learn and explore collaboration with local technology partners in smart forestry solutions. The Embassy of Malaysia in Helsinki attended briefings with the FDS at the office of Business Finland in Helsinki yesterday.
