Sultan of Pahang is the title of the hereditary constitutional head of Pahang, the largest state in peninsular Malaysia
Sultan Abdullah was proclaimed the sixth Sultan of Pahang on 15 January 2019. He was subsequently elected as the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King) of Malaysia. Malaysia is a constitutional monarchy, where the King is elected for a five-year-term in a rotating system between its nine monarchic states.
