The Malaysian Embassy, Helsinki hosted an Eid Open House at the Chancery’s premise. Guests were treated with sumptuous Hari Raya spread of nasi tomato (tomato rice), beef rendang, ayam masak merah, lontong, nasi impit, kuah kacang, laksa and so on. Malaysians also brought desserts to be shared with each other and children were enjoyed to receive “duit raya” in green envelopes.
The Embassy’s open house brought people together regardless of their religion, position or background to strengthen unity and promote racial integration as well as understanding about the festival and culture.
