The Huuhkajat fought valiantly but sorely it was not enough to ward of the might of Wales at the recent Euro 2024 semi final play-off.
Finland controlled possession for long periods and, although their advances into the Welsh box did not yield many clear chances, the visitors were arguably the better side for most of the first half with a goal scored by Teemu Pukki. The Welsh however were clinical and made their chances count and came out 4-1 victors.
Wales can now turn their attention to Tuesday's play-off final , again played over one leg at Cardiff City Stadium, for the chance to qualify for a third successive European Championship. Finland will now play a friendly match with Estonia whom lost to the Polish in the other Semi-Final qualifier next week
