Making Good of a Bad Situation: The Chargé d'Affaire's trip to Latvia began on the wrong footing, caught in a pilot strike and facing a cancelled flight and a pressing appointment to go to with our Baltic neighbour
This inconvenience however affected so many others, including other colleagues in the diplomatic core travelling on the same flight. As most were in the same situation, fortunately CDA Ariff Ali had a long and fruitful discussion with Amb. Taissir Al Adjouri of Palestine to make good of the time. Both exchanged views on the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, as well as global geopolitics. Malaysia reaffirms our unwavering support for the Palestinian people, and discussed efforts to amplify their voices—bilaterally, regionally as ASEAN Chair 2025 , and multilaterally at the UN
